New
Toys!
This is
Barbara's new pride and Joy!! A 1958 Nash Metropolitan,
the first "compact" car in the USA. The first one had a Austin
A35 motor and the later models, like Barbara's a Austin A55 1500 cc
engine. It
is in immaculate and original condition.
Do you remember the song
"Beep Beep" about the Metro??.
It hit
the top 40 on the Billboard charts in
the USA on June
9, 1958, made number 4, and was in the top 40 for 12 weeks, about a race between a Cadillac and a "little Nash Rambler".
Here is the original "playmates" version.
(MP3)

AND
she does'nt just drive around the block in it!!!

Ray's Morry Minor

A rainbow emanating
from the summit of Mt Hikurangi
The translation of Hikurangi is "path or stairway to the sky or
heaven"
The mountain has significant cultural importance to the Ngati Maniapoto
people. It was also a boundary marker for the Ngati Tuwharetoa and Ngati
Haua
